San-X and Fanworks have unveiled a fresh wave of merchandise for their “kawaii × mystery” character series Uso Tantei Tomanto. The new lineup centers on the theme “Tomanto vs. Phantom Thief Paprika,” featuring everything from stationery to plush toys that capture the playful rivalry between the detective and his elusive adversary.
The series follows Tomanto, a detective who, despite being a bit of a worrier in daily life, shines when faced with a case—using his knack for spotting “bright red lies” to crack mysteries. The quirky cast of vegetable- and fruit-inspired characters has already charmed audiences through a 26-episode short anime that aired on JR East’s in-train TRAIN TV from October 2025 to April 2026, and it’s currently running within Nippon TV’s “ZIP!” since March 2026.

The new merchandise spans a wide range, letting fans delve into the story’s world while adding a touch of mystery to everyday life. Highlights include:
