Hololive originally launched in September 2017 with the debut of its VTuber, Tokino Sora. Under Cover Corporation, it has grown into one of the largest global virtual YouTuber agencies, expanding into branches such as Hololive Indonesia and Hololive English. Hololive Production gathered more than 95.2 million YouTube subscribers as of June 2026.
The agency also self-produces the ongoing 3D short web anime Holo no Graffiti, which premiered in May 2019 and features various roster members in episodes.
