Preorders are now open on Bandai’s official online store Premium Bandai for 30MP Ayanami Rei (School Uniform Ver.), a new character plastic model from the 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE brand. The kit is priced at 4,620 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to ship in January 2027.
The model reproduces Ayanami Rei from the Evangelion Shin Gekijouban series. It is part of 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE, a character plastic model brand that lets builders create their own ‘likes.’
From Shinseiki Evangelion to Evangelion Shin Gekijouban
Evangelion began with the 1995 TV anime Shinseiki Evangelion. In 2007, it restarted as the Evangelion Shin Gekijouban film series, with Anno Hideaki serving as planner, screenwriter, and chief director. After Jo, Ha, and Q, the finale Shin Evangelion Gekijouban was released in 2021. The film became a major hit, recording final box office revenue of 10.28 billion yen and 6.73 million admissions.
Ayanami Rei Joins 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE
From 30 MINUTES PREFERENCE, a character plastic model brand that lets builders create their own ‘likes,’ comes a kit that reproduces Ayanami Rei from the Evangelion Shin Gekijouban series.
New Expressions and Scene-Inspired Parts
The kit adds two new facial expression parts from the Plug Suit Ver., along with interchangeable parts for recreating a sitting pose inspired by a scene in the work.
It also includes parts for recreating the scene in which Ayanami Rei drinks miso soup made by Ikari Shinji at Nihon Kaiyou Seitaikei Hozon Kenkyuu Kikou. The kit is described as offering must-see quality for fans, and it is currently available to preorder.
