
The Crunchyroll showcase at New York Comic Con 2026 on Thursday revealed more cast and staff for Ghost of Tsushima Kuroudo Kitan, the anime adaptation of Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima video game. The series is now set for 2028, delayed from its originally planned 2027 premiere.
Cast Additions
Sako Mayumi (Vinland Saga Season 2) and Fukumatsu Shinya (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi) are joining the cast. Their characters have not been announced yet.

Production Team
Mizuno Takanobu (Star Wars: Visions) is directing the anime at Kamikaze Douga. Screenwriter Urobuchi Gen (Psycho-Pass) is handling series composition. The series is being produced by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions.
Game Background
Developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ghost of Tsushima launched on PlayStation 4 in July 2020. Its multiplayer expansion, Legends, arrived in October that year. The game was later ported to PlayStation 5 in August 2021 and PC in May 2024. The sequel, Ghost of Yotei, was released on PlayStation 5 in October 2025.
