YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE has announced details for its 714th episode. Rock band Wasure Ran Nee Yo will make its first appearance on the channel.
The performance will center on ‘Airabu Iu,’ a song released in 2022. It drew attention after protagonist Hatochi (Hatono Chihiro) and others sang it in chapter 96, the joint live arc of the Shonen Jump+ manga ‘Futsuu no Keionbu.’ The song is described as an ultimate love song that straightforwardly and loudly affirms feelings for a loved one. A collaboration PV released to commemorate the manga’s 11th volume also became a talking point. For this THE FIRST TAKE appearance, Wasure Ran Nee Yo will perform with support musicians in a band setup, taking on the one-take challenge.
The video ‘Wasure Ran Nee Yo – Airabu Iu / THE FIRST TAKE’ will premiere on October 9 (Friday) at 22:00.

The manga ‘Futsuu no Keionbu’ volume 12 is also highlighted.
Wasure Ran Nee Yo also shared a comment: ‘I mean, this was a dream. I really wanted to do it here. I made it. Thanks.’
The band formed in 2008. Its current member is vocalist and guitarist Shibata Takahiro. It made its major debut in 2011 with ‘C kara hajimaru ABC,’ the ending theme for the TV anime ‘Kaiji.’ Since then, the band has sold out a Hibiya Noon one-man show and appeared at events including ROCK IN JAPAN and COUNTDOWN JAPAN. It has also written songs for many artists, including Suda Masaki and Non.
In July 2026, the band released ‘Nanmo nee’ as the opening theme for the summer anime ‘Yani Neko.’ The song’s music video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in less than two months after release.

The summer anime ‘Yani Neko’ key visual is also featured.
