Voice actors Ura Kazuki and Okamoto Nobuhiko, both appearing in the anime Tougen Anki, will guest on Nippon TV’s VS. Choutokkyuu. The program airs every Monday from 24:59 on the Nippon TV network.
VS. Choutokkyuu is the first Nippon TV title show for the dance and vocal group Choutokkyuu, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The group’s two-day Tokyo Dome performance in November has sold out, underscoring its current momentum.
In the episode, Ura, who plays Ichinose Shiki, and Okamoto, who plays Nekozaki Hakure, join Choutokkyuu members Kai, Yuuki, Takashi, and Masahiro to develop activities that can be enjoyed with full-on obsession, or ‘gachi muchuu.’
Two Teams Take On Dialogue and Song-Lyric Challenges
The guests split into Team Ura and Team Okamoto for the challenges. The first game is the ‘Moshimo Situation Den Serifu Game,’ in which players perform lines from the anime Tougen Anki under what-if situations. Team members hear only the voice and must guess the situation, passing it along like a telephone game.
They attempt Shiki’s line ‘The real oni are you people!’ in various situations, including while falling on a roller coaster. The episode teases how the impossible situations and the line will match up, and the original preview also highlights what happens when the line is delivered while biting a lemon.
Next, they play ‘Quiz! Yomiyomi Meikyoku Don!’, in which team members relay-read lyrics from famous songs. A team earns points if it can read the lyrics to the end without the opposing team guessing the song. The players try to disguise popular songs by Arashi and Nishino Kana, reading the lyrics in a dramatic dialogue style or changing the intonation so the other team cannot identify the track.
Which team will win? The episode of VS. Choutokkyuu featuring Ura and Okamoto will air on October 12 (Monday) from 24:59 to 25:29. The Hulu special edition has been streaming since October 11 (Sunday).
