Shimamura’s casualwear and shoe brand Avail has sparked a flood of fan requests after its official X account asked for help choosing its next collaboration. The brand posted: ‘I’m struggling to decide the next collaboration… Tell me your oshi!!!’
The replies quickly filled with suggestions spanning characters, anime, and idol groups, with fans making passionate cases for their favorites.
Avail’s recent lineup includes Usamaru and Pan Dorobou
Avail has already released collaboration products with a wide range of contents and characters. From Saturday, October 17, 2026, it plans to sell collaboration goods featuring Usamaru, the character by illustrator sakumaru, and Pan Dorobou, the picture-book series and character by author Shibata Keiko that has also been drawing attention through its anime broadcast.
Molcar and Chiitan☆ fans hope for round two
Among character requests, two names came up especially often: PUI PUI Molcar and the mascot character Chiitan☆. Since both have collaborated with Avail before, many fans asked for a second collaboration or a restock. Comments included: ‘I want lots of goods again!’ and ‘The collaboration goods from a few years ago were so cute and became my favorites; I still use them carefully. I want a second collaboration.’
Gaopawaru draws high-energy support
Sanrio character Gaopawaru also received strong backing. After debuting in 2022, the character gradually expanded its popularity and ranked 18th in the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking. Requests were not limited to characters. Fans also suggested idol groups including NiziU, ME:I, Chou Tokimeki♡Sendenbu, and Monaki. Some specifically hoped for collaborations with official group characters. ‘Nizoo has nine cute characters!’ one fan wrote, while another asked: ‘How about Chou Tokimeki♡Sendenbu’s official character Paburin? It is a super popular character that sells out immediately at every venue.’ NiziU’s official X account was among the links circulated.
Anime titles and anniversary hopes
Popular anime also appeared in the replies, including Tamon-kun Ima Docchi!?, Yani Neko, Shingeki no Kyojin, and Osomatsu-san. A fan who named Hikaru no Go said, ‘The 25th anniversary is building excitement!’ adding a request for a collaboration tied to the anniversary year.
