A new mook inspired by the picture book series Pan Dorobou is on its way, and it bundles a plush pouch pass case shaped around the character’s unforgettable “yucky” expression. The book is scheduled to go on sale on December 16, 2026.
About Pan Dorobou
Pan Dorobou is a picture book series by Shibata Keiko that has been published since 2020. Its surreal and mischievous characters have earned it a wide following, and a television anime adaptation began airing on NHK E TV on October 2, 2026.
The “Yucky” Face, Now in Plush Form
From that much-loved picture book series comes a plush pouch pass case built around the character’s striking “yucky” face. Its soft, fluffy texture and boldly expressive look give it a charm that is just as likely to make adults smile as children.
The plush features a hook and doubles as a pouch. It works as an IC card holder for the school run or the daily commute, and it is also a natural companion for the popular “nuikatsu” pastime, whether that means photographing it at a cafe, taking it along on outings, or clipping it to a bag as an accent. Parents and children, and fans with fellow fans, can all enjoy it together.
A Birthday Book for 20 Years of Memories
October 16 sees the arrival of the birthday book Pan Dorobou Your Birthday Book: Sekai Ichi Itoshii 20-nen no Kiroku. Designed to be filled in alongside Pan Dorobou and friends, it is a volume for writing down precious memories, and it suits baby gifts and birthday presents as well.
Pan Dorobou and its companions appear throughout the pages. The day the child was born, the first things they managed to do, happy memories, favorite photographs — by the time the book is complete, it should become a single treasured volume that exists nowhere else in the world.
