Jamila from Ultraman Episode 23

S.H.Figuarts Jamila is a three-dimensional figure of the planet-dwelling monster Jamila, who appears in episode 23 of Tsuburaya Productions’ tokusatsu TV drama Ultraman, Kokyou wa Chikyuu.

Jamila was originally an astronaut from a certain country. During the age of space development competition, he was in an accident and became stranded. As he adapted to the harsh environment of the planet where he drifted, his form transformed. His weapon is a flame emitted from his mouth, Satch Fire. Because he changed in a harsh, waterless environment, his weakness is water.

Resenting that people concealed his accident, Jamila returned to Earth for revenge. Using an invisible saucer remodeled from the spacecraft he had been aboard when he was stranded, he attacked ships and aircraft from countries attending an international peace conference one after another. The Science Special Search Party’s Spectrum Alpha, Beta, and Gamma rays made the saucer visible and shot it down, causing Jamila to appear. While heading toward the international peace conference venue, he destroyed homes. The Science Special Search Party’s artificial rain bullet doused him with water, his weakness. Though suffering, he tried to attack the venue, but when Ultraman appeared and struck him with the Ultra Water Current, he died. After his death, a memorial monument was erected to honor his achievements in life.

The figure is supervised by Tsuburaya Productions’ modeling division LSS, and it thoroughly reproduces Jamila’s proportions as seen in the show. References to various materials from the time are used, and the cracks across his body and the distinctive balance of his limbs are highlights.

By combining the figure with the separately sold S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Ultraman 60th Anniversary Edition, fans can recreate the battles from the series.
