Story
Five centuries ago, the fantasy realm of Alneath was devastated by a war between magic-wielding immortals and mortals who fought with magical artifacts. The fighting stopped when the mortal hero Gram slew the Demon Lord Veltol Velvet Velsvolt. In 2099, Alneath has merged with a technologically advanced Earth through an event known as Fantasion. Immortals have been hunted almost to extinction, and mortals can use magic through technological implants called Familia.
Veltol’s vassal Machina Solege brings him back to life in Shinjuku, a techno-magical city built amid the devastated lands. Veltol’s magic has been greatly weakened, and his former ally Marcus has betrayed him. To reclaim his fame and magical abilities, Veltol takes the advice of Takahashi, Machina’s friend and a professional hacker, and starts an unusual career: live streaming. His sharp tongue and hilariously poor gaming skills quickly earn him followers. But before he can rule the world again, Veltol must uncover Shinjuku’s secrets and stop Marcus’s sinister plans.
