What is ‘Goumon Baito-kun no Nichijou’?
Goumon Baito-kun no Nichijou is a “slightly dark workplace comedy” based on the manga by Tsugimi Yaora, serialized in Hakusensha’s Young Animal Web. The story is set in a world where killing and torture have been legalized. It follows the easy-going daily lives of four part-timers working at “Kabushikigaisha Supiritasu,” a top-tier, ethical (or “white” company) in the Goumon Ukeoi-gyousha (Torture Contracting Industry) that only targets villains.
The original work ranked 6th in the Web Manga category of the “Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho 2023” (Next Manga Awards 2023) and 5th in the “WEB Manga Sousenkyo 2023.” With 7 volumes published, its cumulative circulation has surpassed 400,000 copies. The TV anime is directed by Oizaki Fumitoshi with animation production handled by Diomedéa.
