Introduction
From the winter anime Seihantai na Kimi to Boku (which can be translated as “The Complete Opposite You and Me”), the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Episode 1, titled “Seihantai na Kimi” (“The Opposite You”), set to begin broadcasting on Sunday, January 11, 2026, have been unveiled.
About the Anime
Seihantai na Kimi to Boku is a “sympathy MAX love comedy” based on the manga by Agasawa Koucha, which was serialized on “Jump+” until 2024 and has sold over 1.6 million copies including digital versions. It follows the story of two polar opposites: Suzuki, a girl who is always energetic but cares too much about what others think, and Tani, a quiet boy who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. The series beautifully portrays how they learn to respect each other and gradually deepen their understanding, alongside their school life with friends.
The manga has garnered numerous awards, including the Male Category Award in the “Everyone’s Choice!! E-Comic Awards 2024,” 7th place in the “Manga Taisho 2024,” and the Work Award in the “4th Magademy Awards.” The TV anime is directed by Nagatomo Takakazu with animation production by Lapin Track. The cast features Suzushiro Sayumi as Suzuki and Sakata Shougo as Tani, with supporting roles played by Taniguchi Yuma as Watanabe, Hirabayashi Koka as Satou, Iwata Anji as Yamada, Shimabukuro Miyuri as Azuma, Kato Wataru as Taira, Omori Kokoro as Nishi, and Kusunoki Tomori as Honda.
