A VF-19P Excalibur From Macross Dynamite 7 Gets a HI-METAL R Figure!

From Macross Dynamite 7 comes the “VF-19P Excalibur (Planet Zola Patrol Team Spec)” figure, joining the “HI-METAL R” series! Pre-orders are currently open on “Tamashii Web Shouten”, within the official Bandai Namco Group online store, “Premium Bandai”.

Macross Dynamite 7 is a 4-episode OVA series released from 1997 to 1998, set one year after the events of Macross 7. A must-see moment is the final scene where the protagonist, Nekki Basara, who has sung to various beings, sings “Angel Voice” to a space whale. The opening theme, “DYNAMITE EXPLOSION”, is also well-known as a signature song that gets the crowd hyped at live performances by Fukuyama Yoshiki, who provides Basara’s singing voice.

The “HI-METAL R VF-19P Excalibur (Planet Zola Patrol Team Spec)” figure, now available for pre-order, faithfully recreates the mecha that Basara forcefully boarded in the series. The white airframe is equipped with the characteristic spatial resonance speaker units on both shoulders. It naturally features three-stage transformation (with some interchangeable parts), and the dedicated stand for displaying each form is a special specification printed with the work’s logo and an illustration of Basara.

As a bonus part, a gun pod for the VF-19P, which wasn’t equipped in the show, is also included. Markings were added to the main body of this gun pod based on an idea from director Kawamori Shouji. It’s an original specification designed to fit the white airframe as a piece of equipment.

Furthermore, a pilot figure of Basara can be placed in the cockpit. Be sure to enjoy displaying it just the way you like!
