From the TV anime NieR:Automata Ver1.1a, a pair of short boots inspired by the character 9S has arrived. These are brought to you by the fashion brand MAYLA, known for its catchphrase “body temperature rises by 2°C.” They are available alongside an iconic pump model inspired by 2B on the brand’s official e-commerce site.

About the NieR:Automata Universe

NieR:Automata is an action RPG produced by Square Enix and developed by PlatinumGames. It’s set in a distant future where humanity has been forced to retreat to the moon after being overwhelmed by the “machine lifeforms” unleashed by alien invaders. The story follows the androids of the newly formed “YoRHa” unit, including the combat model 2B, as they are thrown into a fierce battle to reclaim Earth.

NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is the TV anime adaptation of this game. Directed by Masuyama Ryouji with animation production by A-1 Pictures, it features the original game’s cast, including Ishikawa Yui as 2B and Hanae Natsuki as 9S. The first cour aired from January to July 2023 (with some delays), and the second cour was broadcast from July to September 2024.

Furthermore, the back heel of the boot has a print design based on the pattern of his costume. The insole shares a common design with the 2B model, creating a sense of unified world-building—complete with the YoRHa unit emblem. Even the sole features meticulously embossed patterns, showcasing an incredible attention to detail in unseen places.

Also available are the “NieR:Automata Ver1.1a Iconique Shoes Objet Pumps,” iconic pumps inspired by 2B.

Her costume and the series’ aesthetic have been interpreted through MAYLA’s unique lens, resulting in a mechanical, ephemerally beautiful design.

The velvet upper is characterized by a vamp section that represents the chest area of 2B’s dress. The three-dimensional ribbon has a frill design inspired by the pattern of her skirt. The insole features a logo on a mechanical silver base. The toe area is designed to mirror the shoes 2B wears, giving off a sharp impression.

Special Presentation Box

Each product arrives in a special shoes box designed to express the world of NieR:Automata Ver1.1a. The exterior features a mechanical design incorporating elements from the work. The inside of the box is illustrated with a depiction of either 9S or 2B amidst a field of Lunar Tears. Opening the box door to reveal the flower field is an experience in itself.
