Sweet News for Quintessential Quintuplets Fans!
From the TV special anime Gotoubun no Hanayome *, the Nakano quintuplets are making a new appearance in coordinating outfits inspired by “Strawberry Shortcake.” New merchandise, the “Drawn Illustration Strawberry Shortcake Image Coord ver.” is now available for pre-order!
The romantic comedy Gotoubun no Hanayome (also known as The Quintessential Quintuplets), serialized by Negi Haruba in Weekly Shounen Magazine until February 2020, tells the story of the top-grade protagonist Fuutarou Uesugi. He becomes the tutor for the beautiful but academically failing Nakano quintuplets and guides them to their high school graduation.
The TV anime’s first season aired from January to March 2019, and the second season, Gotoubun no Hanayome ∬, aired from January to March 2021. The film Gotoubun no Hanayome, which depicted the final high school event, the “School Festival,” for Fuutarou and the quints, was released on May 20, 2022, bringing the main story to its climax. Later, Gotoubun no Hanayome ∽, which adapted manga episodes not covered in the TV series, was released in theaters in July 2023, followed by Gotoubun no Hanayome *, depicting the newlyweds’ honeymoon, in September 2024.
Quintuplets Dressed for Dessert
Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Itsuki Nakano appear in coordination with red as the base color, reminiscent of strawberry shortcake. The “Strawberry Shortcake Image Coord ver.” uses newly drawn illustrations and offers a rich lineup of items.
