The story unfolds in a chaotic galaxy, a stark contrast to its former state of harmony. The sacred star “Mother Planet,” which maintained peace, vanished, plunging the universe into endless conflict. Pieces of Mother landed on various planets across the galaxy, giving birth to new sentient beings called “Galverse.” With their extraordinary abilities and signature gal spirit, they rise up to restore peace, battling the evil organization “Cosmic Apocalypse Association” while drawing closer to the truth of the galaxy.
This project successfully raised funds for its animation production back in April 2022, thanks to the support of over 4,000 fans. It adopts a unique production style, sharing the creative process directly with the fans. From planet names and costume designs to promotional strategies, the community actively participates, making this an unprecedented “participatory anime” that has garnered significant attention.
Under the guidance of Oohira Ayaka, who serves as the original creator, chief director, and character concept designer, the staff includes Takamura Yuuta as co-director, Takahashi Natsuko and Ookubo Masahiro on the script, Ishino Satoshi and Nagayama Momo on character design, and Ryuu You (Ogura Koubou) handling art direction. The animation production is by S.o.K, with ARCH producing the series.
First Wave of Voice Cast Revealed!
The eagerly awaited first wave of voice actors for *Shinsei Galverse* has been announced. Horie Yui will voice ZERO, Fairouz Ai takes on D.D., Tamura Mutsumi plays RING, and Ootani Ikue voices 爛々 (Ranran – lit. Sparkling). Additionally, Nakata Kurumi will play TABIA, Kanemoto Hisako voices VEGA, and Lynn is cast as MOMO. I was a little hesitant about the “gal” aspect, but after reading the script, I felt that ZERO’s uninhibited and straightforward honesty in taking things in is perhaps what defines a gal?? So I focused on portraying that aspect! The story has a speed feeling (speedokan), which made it a bit challenging to keep up with, but it was really fun!
I thought it was a very wonderful work that some people might feel nostalgic and emo about, while others might find it fresh and retro-stylish. I believe there are as many stories as there are gals, so I hope to see more someday. I’d be delighted if everyone can enjoy the kawaii, stylish, and slightly mysterious world of Galverse!

D.D.’s words are few, but she holds a more intense anger and conflict within her than anyone else, so I tried to deliver her lines in a way that hinted at those feelings. That being said, the theme of the work is “gal,” so it was important for me to remember that she is still fundamentally an extension of a gal! Many wonderful Galverse characters appear who are charming without being overtly cute and who have a strong sense of self. Please enjoy this saike (psychedelic) and poppu (pop) and totally age (hype) world to the fullest!
Tamura Mutsumi (RING)
Honestly, I thought RING was a boy until I received the explanation before the voice recording! But it turns out that wasn’t the case! They aren’t an adult yet, but they are a sugoi (amazing) person who experienced something difficult and stood up to fight. I think it’s really cool that they are respected by the adults and act as a leader. My interactions with ZERO left a strong impression. It was very heartwarming to see RING not just acting like a leader, but also showing reactions appropriate for their age. I wish I could have stayed longer…! This work was very comfortable to be a part of because of the positive mindset of the gals. Please be sure to watch it!!
Ootani Ikue (爛々 Ranran)

Nakata Kurumi (TABIA)
Among the unique gals, Tabia is a wild and lively character, so it was surprising to find that element was expressed through the “voice” rather than my own appearance or personality. It was my first time voice acting for an anime, and everything was a surprise. Thanks to everyone’s help, I feel like I was able to produce sound that exceeded what I had within me.
Galverse represents the experience that believing in what you love and continuing to pursue it can make dreams come true beyond imagination. I really hope everyone witnesses the birth of a new form of creativity, which is different from the traditional anime production process. WAGMAA!
Kanemoto Hisako (VEGA)
The characters are truly kawaii (cute)! We were all talking about how kawaii they are at the recording studio! The world setting, which combines nostalgia and cutting-edge elements, is also fascinating! I was so happy to be able to play Vega in one story within the Galverse world, which has captured the hearts of so many people. Please look forward to it!
Lynn (MOMO)
