Manga artist Yazawa Ai, known for NANA and other works, has collaborated with Sapporo Beer. The second wave of the “Yebisu Beer Yazawa Ai Original Design Can” will be released nationwide in limited quantities from July 7, 2026 (Tuesday).
“Yebisu Beer Yazawa Ai Original Design Can”
Yazawa Ai was born in Hyogo Prefecture. Since her debut in 1985, she has released many popular works such as It’s Not Just an Angel, Neighborhood Story, Paradise Kiss, and NANA. In particular, NANA became a social phenomenon and won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 2002.
The first wave of this collaboration between Yazawa Ai and Sapporo Beer was released in March this year. The design cans, featuring Yazawa Ai’s modern update of the bijin-ga (beautiful woman) posters that Yebisu Beer had been producing since the Meiji era, were well received. The second wave takes “the brilliance of a summer evening” and “cool summer moments” as its design theme. The illustration depicts a woman in yukata enjoying summer atmosphere with lantern light, capturing a high-quality, gorgeous moment with delicate touches.

To coincide with the product launch, a “Yebisu Beer Yazawa Ai Original Design Goods Campaign” and a “Yebisu Beer Yazawa Ai Original Design Can X Follow & Repost Campaign” will also be held.

Furthermore, a Yazawa Ai collaboration event will be held in July at “YEBISU BREWERY TOKYO” and Nagoya. Details are scheduled to be announced around mid-June. Check the official website for campaign entry methods and event details.
