Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a mystery-solving entertainment set in the rear palace of a medieval East Asian setting. Based on the novel by Hyuuga Natsu published by Hero Bunko (Imagica Infos) and also serialized in Big Gangan and Sunday GX as manga, the series has surpassed a cumulative total of 40 million copies sold. It follows Maomao, a young woman acting as a “poison taster,” as she solves various challenging incidents occurring within the palace.
Episode 44 “Toride” Synopsis
The warehouse where Maomao infiltrated with Kyouto was a workshop for Feifaa, the same type of projectile weapon used in the attack on Jinshi during the hunting ground incident. There, the two are discovered by Kanbi, a cold-hearted woman accompanied by one of the special envoys, Airajou.
They manage to escape harsh treatment, but Maomao finds herself imprisoned in a “Toride” (fortress) surrounded by snow and sturdy walls.
Faced with the formidable walls and a large quantity of Feifaa, Maomao realizes she has become entangled in a major incident that could shake the entire nation.
June Calendar & Special Program
The broadcast and event calendar for June has also been revealed. Please note that the broadcast will be paused on June 20 due to programming convenience. Instead, on the same day starting from 22:30, an exclusive free broadcast of a climax special program will air on “ABEMA”. Be sure not to miss this special featuring Yuuki Aoi (voice of Maomao), Ootsuka Takeo (voice of Jinshi), Seto Asami (voice of Shisui), and Nazuka Kaori (voice of Suirei).
Episode 44 “Toride” of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Season 2 Part 2 will begin airing from 24:05 on May 23 (Friday) on the Nippon TV network’s “FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)” block.
