Bandai’s official online shop Premium Bandai has opened pre-orders for the “Chinmari Okao Mascot: Tamagotchi (BOX of 8)”, a set of adorable little face mascots featuring beloved characters from the Tamagotchi universe. The set is priced at 7,920 yen (tax included) and is scheduled for shipment in September 2026.
What Are the Chinmari Okao Mascots?
These cute mascots are compact in size, making them perfect for attaching to card holders, bags, and other accessories via the included hook holder. The lineup includes fan-favorites such as Mametchi, Melodytchi, and Miraitchi.
The mascot itself measures approximately 65mm in height. Please note that this product is a complete box set of 8 different mascots, not sold individually.
A Brief History of Tamagotchi
The original Tamagotchi was first released on November 23, 1996, and became a massive hit, especially among high school girls. Bandai’s digital pet was revived in 2004 as the “Kaettekita! Tamagotchi Plus” with infrared communication capabilities, and the series has since expanded globally with new features. As of the end of July 2025, cumulative worldwide shipments have reached 100 million units.
