The manga “Captain Tsubasa” is teaming up with BEAMS’ project “BEAMS MANGART” for a new collaboration collection, set to launch on June 5, 2026. The lineup includes T-shirts, hats, and more.
“Captain Tsubasa” was originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1981 to 1988 by Yoichi Takahashi. It follows the genius soccer boy Tsubasa Ozora as he transfers to Nankatsu Elementary and grows as a player through battles with rivals like Genzo Wakabayashi and Kojiro Hyuga. The series continues to this day with spin-offs, and the latest work “Captain Tsubasa Rising Sun FINALS” is being serialized on the manga app “Young Jump+”. The cumulative circulation of the manga in Japan has exceeded 90 million copies. The anime adaptations have influenced many young soccer players both in Japan and abroad.
The collaboration collection, titled “Captain Tsubasa × BEAMS MANGART ～Catch the Japan Dream!～”, commemorates BEAMS’ 50th anniversary. It features eight product types that incorporate the world of the series and its iconic motifs, including gym sacks perfect for cheering scenes.
The items include the “Tsubasa VICTORY T-shirt”, “Tsubasa JAPAN DREAM T-shirt”, “Uniform T-shirt”, “JAPAN DREAM Patch Hat”, and “Challenge Letter Keychain”.
Additionally, a lottery sales item is accepting entries until May 31 at 23:59: the “BEAMS MANGART Exclusive Tsubasa Ozora Soft Vinyl Collection” (available only at select stores, not on the BEAMS official online shop).
BEAMS MANGART also releases original soccer cheering goods: “Soccer Ball Pocketable Tote” and “Soccer Ball Gym Sack”, both with a distinctive BEAMS design.
All items will be available at BEAMS Musashi Kosugi, BEAMS Shizuoka, BEAMS Hiroshima, BEAMS Heart Cocoon City, BEAMS Heart Lalaport EXPOCITY, and the BEAMS official online shop. The sales period is June 5 to June 14. Online sales start at 11:00 on June 5. Photo booths will be set up at three stores: BEAMS Shizuoka, BEAMS Heart Cocoon City, and BEAMS Heart Lalaport EXPOCITY.
