What’s Your Favorite Yuri Anime? Survey Closes June 14
Anime! Anime! is conducting a reader survey titled “What’s your favorite yuri anime?”. The deadline is June 14.
The birth flower for June is the lily (yuri). Wildly self-propagating across various regions of Japan and blooming delicately with the arrival of early summer, the lily is cherished as a summer kigo (seasonal word) in haiku.
In fiction, “yuri” is also used as a genre name depicting intimate relationships between women. While it certainly includes works focused on romantic feelings, it also encompasses stories that carefully depict friendship and bonds, or the special feelings that blossom between a senpai and kouhai. What exactly constitutes “yuri” varies greatly among fans, and this diversity in charm across different works is a characteristic of the genre.
To celebrate this, Anime! Anime! is conducting a reader survey titled “What’s your favorite yuri anime?”. Please answer with the title you believe fits best in a free-response format.
