To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the TV anime Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress), a POP UP STORE will tour five LOFT stores across Japan, starting at Umeda LOFT on June 20, 2026.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress originally aired in 2016 on Fuji TV’s noitamina block. Set in the fictional land of Hinomoto during a period of transition from early modern to modern times, the story follows humanity’s fight against the Kabane, undead monsters that suddenly appeared and rapidly multiplied. The series gained lasting popularity, leading to theatrical compilation films in late 2016 and early 2017, and a sequel film Koutetsujou no Kabaneri: Unato Kessen in 2019.
10th Anniversary Project
Marking a decade since its broadcast in April 2026, the “Koutetsujou no Kabaneri 10th Anniversary Project” has been announced under the theme “Koutetsujou no Juunen Tabiji” (Ten-Year Journey). This POP UP STORE is one of the project’s initiatives.
The event’s main visual features a newly drawn illustration of Mumei in three distinct outfits: just waking up, a Japanese-style lolita dress, and a bunny-ear maid costume.
At the venue, a large panel of Mumei in her newly drawn attire will be on display, along with panels based on newly drawn mini-characters, allowing fans to take photos together.
In addition to the new Mumei illustration, the store will offer exclusive original merchandise featuring the newly drawn mini-characters. The lineup includes not only Mumei but also ten other characters dressed in steampunk-style costumes: Ikoma, Suou, Kurusu, Takumi, Kajika, Yuuna, Sukari, Kibito, and Mima.
Merchandise includes acrylic stands, tapestries, T-shirts, trading stick keyholders, bookmarks, changing mugs, and trading mini acrylic stands.
As a purchase bonus, customers who spend 2,000 yen or more (tax included) will receive one randomly selected illustration card from a set of four designs featuring the new artwork.
