
The 28th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump has begun serializing a new manga titled Animal Signal, drawn by Taishi Tsutsui (known for Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai) and written by Robinson Haruhara (known for Himesama “Goumon” no Jikan desu).
Tsutsui previously serialized Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai (We Never Learn) in Weekly Shounen Jump from February 2017 to December 2020. Shueisha published the 21st and final volume in March 2021. VIZ Media licensed the manga and released the final volume in May 2022. The manga has a cumulative circulation of over 4.7 million copies.
An anime television adaptation was produced by Arvo Animation and Silver, airing in two seasons of 13 episodes each in Spring and Fall 2019. Crunchyroll simulcast the series in multiple languages.
Haruhara serialized Himesama “Goumon” no Jikan desu (‘Tis Time for “Torture,” Princess) on the Shounen Jump+ website from April 2019 to August 2025. Shueisha shipped the 19th and final volume on January 5. Manga Plus published the series on their platform.
A two-season television anime adaptation produced by Pine Jam aired for 12 episodes in Winter 2024 and Winter 2026. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series with subtitles in multiple languages.
