Pokemon fans aged 4 to 12 can get their hands doughy this summer with a special one-day baking lesson. ABC Cooking Studio is bringing back its popular kids’ class, titled “Minna de Tsukurou♪ Pokemon Custard Pudding Muffin,” offering a sweet, hands-on way to learn basic baking skills while surrounded by everyone’s favorite Pocket Monsters.
The class runs from July 1 to August 31, 2026, at ABC Cooking Studio locations and partner studios across Japan. Registration opens on June 1, 2026.
Learning through Food Education
Each summer, ABC Cooking Studio holds a single-session Pokemon-themed lesson for children. The goal is to teach the joy of making sweets from scratch, giving kids a sense of accomplishment. This year’s menu is “Custard Pudding Muffin” — a caramel-infused, pudding-flavored muffin that’s simple enough for beginners, with instructors on hand to guide them gently.
Pokemon-Themed Lesson Items
During the class, children wear an apron featuring Captain Pikachu and Metamon, along with a Captain Pikachu sun visor. The muffin batter is poured into original cups decorated with Captain Pikachu and Metamon, then baked. A Poké Ball–designed pick is placed on top for the finishing touch. While the muffins bake, kids can enjoy Pokemon coloring sheets. The finished muffins go home in a special bag, perfect for sharing with family.
At the end of the lesson, participants can take a photo in front of a standing panel that makes it look as if they’re surrounded by Pokemon — a memorable snapshot to cap off the experience.

For families who want to try the recipe at home, ABC Cooking MARKET (the studio’s online store) sells a DIY kit. It includes pre-measured ingredients, a pick, and muffin cups. The kit is ideal for reviewing what was learned in the studio or for making the muffins together at home.
