About Natsume Yuujinchou
Natsume Yuujinchou is based on the manga by Midorikawa Yuki, serialized in Hakusensha’s LaLa, with over 18 million copies in circulation in Japan. The story follows Takashi Natsume, a boy who can see youkai, as he inherits his grandmother Reiko’s “Book of Friends” and returns names to the youkai bound within, accompanied by his self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko-sensei. The TV anime began in July 2008, with the seventh season Natsume Yuujinchou Shichi airing from October to December 2024. The franchise also includes the OVA Itsuka Yuki no Hi ni (February 2014), the film Gekijouban Natsume Yuujinchou: Utsusemi ni Musubu (September 2018), and the new anime Natsume Yuujinchou: Ishiokoshi to Ayashiki Raihousha (limited screening from January 2021).
New Stamp Designs
The “Natsume Hankochou Date Stamp Version” was first released in July 2020 and has received over 3,000 orders in the series. The stamps feature cute versions of Nyanko-sensei and other characters, making them a charming analog date stamp.
The initial lineup included 11 designs: Nyanko-sensei, Madara, black Nyanko, middle-class youkai, kitsune, Natsume, and more. Now 10 new designs (numbers 12 to 21) have been added, featuring characters such as Tanuma, Taki, Natori, and Matoba. This brings the total to 21 designs to choose from.
The new designs (12–21) come without a text field, while the original designs (1–11) can be customized with any text or name in the upper or lower sections, or left blank for handwriting. Old characters and messages are also possible.
The stamp body measures 30 × 27 × 127 mm. The handle is adorned with cute illustrations of Nyanko-sensei, Madara, and Natsume.
