The official website for the television anime adaptation of Jinushi‘s Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari (Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You) manga revealed additional staff members and a second promotional video on Thursday. The first six episodes were streamed as 12 mini-episodes on Abema on June 3, and regular broadcasting is set to begin on July 9 on TBS, followed by AT-X.

Jinushi began drawing the romantic comedy manga on their X (formerly Twitter) account in March 2022 before beginning serialization in Monthly Big Gangan in August that year. Square Enix published the eighth volume on January 23, with the ninth volume scheduled for release on July 24.
Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga in English in July 2023. The sixth volume went on sale on January 20, with the seventh volume planned for a July 7 release. The manga is also available on Manga UP! and Comikey.
A second promotional video was also released.
