The official website for the television anime adaptation of Otsuji’s manga Ibitte Konai Gibo to Gishi has announced three additional cast members, the theme song performers, and the first promotional video. The series is set to premiere on July 8 at 11:30 p.m. on Television Kanagawa, TeleTama, and Chiba TV, followed by MBS, Tokyo MX, and BS Asahi.

Theme Songs
Singer-songwriter Lia (Angel Beats!) performs the opening theme “Amayadori no Shoukei,” while idol group AVAM (Akujiki Reijou to Kyouketsu Koushaku) performs the ending theme “Claire.” Both songs are previewed in the promotional video.

Keisuke Inoue (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta…) is directing the anime at NEWON. Nanami Hoshino (Saikin Yatotta Maid ga Ayashii script) handles series composition. Mutsumi Sasaki (Yuru Camp△) designs the characters, and Rina Tayama (Silent Witch) composes the music.
Otsuji began posting the historical slice-of-life manga on X (formerly Twitter) in September 2020 before serializing it on Comic POOL in November 2020. Ichijinsha published the ninth volume on February 26. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in October 2022, with the eighth volume shipping on June 23.
