New merchandise for the anime Bocchi the Rock! has been announced by Azmaker, including a ribbed long-sleeve T-shirt, regular T-shirts, and cotton sports towels. Pre-orders are now being accepted on the online shop CharaON!.
Based on the four-panel manga by Hamaji Aki serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara MAX, Bocchi the Rock! follows the extremely shy and introverted girl Gotou Hitori as she joins the band Kessoku Band and grows alongside its three unique members: Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryou, and Kita Ikuyo. The first season aired in fall 2022, quickly gaining massive popularity among young audiences and winning numerous awards both in Japan and internationally. The band’s full album “Kessoku Band” topped Oricon’s 2023 yearly digital album ranking and Billboard Japan’s yearly download album chart. After the theatrical compilation films, a second season has been greenlit.
