Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is gearing up for a sizzling summer in 2026, kicking off a brand-new night entertainment called “Universal Summer Matsuri Night ~Neon Glow Up~” from July 1. The park promises a full day of festival fun with limit-pushing excitement for guests of all ages. Alongside the neon celebration, USJ is rolling out a lineup of refreshing sweets, chilled drinks, and cooling goods featuring popular characters like My Melody, Kuromi, and the Minions.
Cool treats with My Melody & Kuromi
Among the annual summer heat-beating menus, the Sofrozen Grape My Melody & Kuromi Bucket & Spoon lets guests enjoy a frozen grape treat with a cute bucket and spoon designed with My Melody and Kuromi in brand-new costumes. A new My Melody Bottle Strap with Ice Pack also makes its debut — a perfect accessory to stay comfortable in the park while adding a dose of cuteness.
At Evil Eats, a first-ever Crush! Big Villain’s Blood Orange Frozen Soda invites guests to become a big villain and smash a frozen orange into a refreshing blood-orange slushy — messy fun guaranteed.

Night festival foods & special ticket
Ahead of the Universal Summer Matsuri Night ~Neon Glow Up~, the park is serving up “night festival” foods like Summer Festival Goldfish Lemon Cider and Super!! Chocolate Banana Churritos, along with glow sticks (penlights) to elevate the evening atmosphere. These limited-season dishes from SAIDO and Park-Side Grill will help guests stay cool even on the hottest days.
A special value ticket, the Summer Festival Enjoy Set, is available for 5,650 yen (tax included, same price for adults and children). Sales run from May 18 to August 26, 2026, and the ticket is valid from July 1 to August 26, 2026. Purchase is available through the USJ Web Ticket Store.
