MAPPA has unveiled the second installment of its 15th anniversary key visual series, this time featuring Mikasa from Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). The newly illustrated artwork shows Mikasa wrapped in her iconic red scarf, walking toward the tree on the hill, surrounded by a vibrant array of flowers and bathed in soft sunlight. Her gentle smile has struck an emotional chord with fans worldwide.

The visual is part of MAPPA’s 15th anniversary celebration, following the first key visual for Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc. The studio, founded in 2011, has produced numerous hit anime series, including the final season of Shingeki no Kyojin, which concluded in autumn 2023 after a decade-long run. The theatrical compilation Shingeki no Kyojin: The Last Attack was re-released in January 2026.

Fans took to social media to express their reactions, with many saying they were moved to tears. Comments included: “It’s so beautiful,” “I’m crying,” “It hurts but her gentle expression makes me happy,” and “This feels so ephemeral.” Voice actress Ishikawa Yui, who voices Mikasa, also posted a scarf emoji in response.
Others began speculating about the meaning of the flowers depicted in the foreground, asking if there is a hidden flower language. The artwork has also drawn praise from international fans, highlighting the global reach of the series.

The key visual was created with the following staff:
- Layout: Hayashi Yuichiro
- Illustration: Kishi Tomohiro
- Coloring: Onishi Megumi
- Background: Oohama Yume
- Photography: Tannowa Yusuke
MAPPA plans to release a total of three anniversary key visuals. The third installment, featuring Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, was also revealed.

Additionally, MAPPA will host a special lineup presentation on June 19, 2026, at 20:00 JST on its YouTube channel. The event will include new information on upcoming projects, a special corner with cast members, and the debut of a new anniversary movie set to the song “Seikatsu” by PEOPLE 1. The navigator is Tsuda Kenjiro, and the narrator is Mitsuishi Kotono.

Fans can look forward to more surprises as MAPPA continues its 15th anniversary celebrations.
