The Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026 revealed the returning lead cast, additional staff, and a teaser promotional video for WIT Studio‘s The One Piece anime remake on Wednesday. The new series will begin with the Eastern Sea Arc (Higashi no Umi-hen) and is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in February 2027.
Voice actress Tanaka Mayumi is returning to reprise her role as Monkey D. Luffy.

The anime adapts Oda Eiichiro‘s adventure fantasy manga, which began serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in July 1997. Shueisha published the 114th volume on March 4, with the 115th volume scheduled for July 3. VIZ Media publishes the manga in English, releasing the 111th volume on March 10, and the 112th volume on July 7.
