The KING OF PRISM SUPER LIVE Prism☆Tours! event announced a new anime movie in the franchise, subtitled Tri-Star Act, on Sunday. The official site also revealed the returning staff and cast, a teaser visual, and an announcement video.
King of Prism is a mixed-media spin-off series of the male characters from the Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live television anime, with singles, manga, light novels, anime, and games.
The first movie in the franchise, King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm, debuted in January 2016, followed by the King of Prism: Pride the Hero sequel movie in June 2017. The four Shiny Seven Stars movies opened in Japan between March and May 2019. The movies were compiled into a television anime in Spring 2019. The King of Prism All Stars: Prism Show☆Best Ten movie premiered in January 2020 and King of Prism: Dramatic Prism.1, recompiling the Shiny Seven Stars movies, opened in August 2024. The latest movie in the franchise, King of Prism: Your Endless Call – Mi~nna Kirameki! Prism☆Tours, opened in theaters in June 2025.
