The TV anime adaptation of Unmei no Maki Modoshi (運命の巻戻士) is set to air in April 2027 on TV Asahi’s nationwide 24-station network in the “IMAnimation” slot. Alongside the announcement, a new key visual featuring four characters, a teaser PV, and the main cast and staff have been unveiled.
The original manga by Kimura Fuuta has 12 volumes and is currently serialized in Monthly CoroCoro Comic. It made history by ranking first in the magazine’s popularity poll for 12 consecutive months, and won the 71st Shogakukan Manga Award alongside Dandadan.
Directing the series is Matsumoto Rie, known for Kekkai Sensen and the Pokémon special music video GOTCHA!. Animation production is handled by Bones Film (Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia), with production by STORY inc. (the 8-guchi film, Suzume no Tojimari). Character design comes from Kawamoto Toshihiro (Cowboy Bebop, Kekkai Sensen), script by Ueno Kimiko (Marriage Toxin, Ranma 1/2), and music by Murai Satoshi (Chainsaw Man volume 9 special PV).

To celebrate the new information, the web manga site Weekly CoroCoro Comic is offering all chapters of the original manga for free for 72 hours starting from noon on July 4, 2026, until 11:59 on July 7, 2026.
