Bocchi the Rock! ‘Ikimite Sumimasen’ Jinbei and Detachable Full-Color Patches Announced

New merchandise from Bocchi the Rock! is on the way, including a breathable and absorbent jinbei (summer kimono) featuring the phrase “Ikimite sumimasen” (sorry for acting cool), as well as detachable full-color patches of each member of Kessoku Band. The items are being produced by cospa.

About Bocchi the Rock!

Bocchi the Rock! is based on the four-panel manga by Hamaji Aki, serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara MAX. The story follows the extremely shy and introverted girl Gotou Hitori as she joins the band Kessoku Band and grows alongside its three unique members: Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryou, and Kita Ikuyo.

The first TV anime season aired in fall 2022 and became a massive hit, especially among young audiences, winning numerous awards and gaining overwhelming support both domestically and internationally. On the music front, Kessoku Band’s full album “Kessoku Band” topped Oricon’s 2023 annual digital album ranking and Billboard JAPAN’s annual download album chart. After the release of compilation films, a second season has been confirmed.

“Ikimite Sumimasen” Jinbei

The “Ikimite Sumimasen Jinbei” will be available for advance sale at the cospa booth (Booth No. 7-06, Hall 7) at Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] held at Makuhari Messe on July 26, 2026. General sales (including online pre-orders at the cospa official shop) are also open, with shipment scheduled for late August 2026.

This item features a design based on Gotou Hitori. It uses “shijira-ori” fabric that does not stick to the skin, offering excellent breathability and a smooth feel. The shoulder-to-sleeve connection uses a herringbone-style stitch for ventilation. It includes one pocket on the jacket and two on the pants, enough to hold a smartphone and wallet. Side slits allow for easy movement, and the pants have an elastic waistband with drawcords to fit a wide range of body types.

Detachable Full-Color Patches

Also launching are detachable full-color patches in all four types: Gotou Hitori, Ijichi Nijika, Yamada Ryou, and Kita Ikuyo. The back of each patch has hook-and-loop fasteners, making them easy to attach and remove. They can be used with cospa’s original patch base series as well as commercially available military items with hook-and-loop fasteners. The base (with the loop side) is included, allowing users to sew it onto their own items.

These practical new goods incorporating the world of Bocchi the Rock! are sure to attract attention.
