A new collaboration between the legendary manga Wangan Midnight and watch brand ANGEL CLOVER brings two iconic cars to your wrist. The Devil Z and Blackbird are now available as themed timepieces, with pre-orders starting July 8 and a release date of August 7, 2026.
About Wangan Midnight
Kusumi Michiharu’s Wangan Midnight is a legendary manga set on Tokyo’s Shuto Expressway at night, centering on the “Devil Z” (a Fairlady Z S30) and the “Blackbird” (a Porsche 911 Turbo). The story follows Asakura Akio, who encounters the wrecked Devil Z, and Shima Tatsuya, known as the fastest on the Wangan. The manga delves deep into tuning culture, mechanics, and the philosophy of speed, captivating car enthusiasts. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2007 and also spawned arcade games.
This collaboration features two models: one inspired by Asakura Akio’s Fairlady Z S30 (the Devil Z) and the other by Shima Tatsuya’s Porsche 911 Turbo (the Blackbird). The watches capture the world of the never-ending speed legend on the Wangan.
Devil Z Model
The Devil Z model embodies the madness and aesthetics of the car. A deep blue dial evokes the night on the Shuto Expressway, changing expression with light. The number “28” is boldly placed on the dial, referencing the legendary L28 engine modification.
Blackbird Model
The Blackbird model reflects the quiet, overwhelming presence of the Porsche 911 Turbo. A black-based face design features the number “911” on the dial, capturing the atmosphere of the Blackbird silently racing through the Wangan at night.
As a purchase bonus, each watch comes with a metal plate keychain featuring the car from the story, a must-have collectible for fans.
