Peko-chan and Shirotan Team Up for a Fluffy Sweets Party Pop-Up Shop at Tokyo Station

Fujiya’s beloved Peko-chan and the gentle seal character Shirotan are joining forces for a limited-time pop-up shop at JR Tokyo Station. Titled “Peko-chan × Shirotan: Everyone’s Fluffy Sweets Party,” the event will run from July 24 to August 6, 2026, at Tokyo Gift Palette’s Weeklypalette venue, just outside the Yaesu North Exit ticket gate.

Peko-chan, the little girl who loves sweets and is known for her signature tongue-out pose, first appeared as a storefront mascot for Fujiya in 1950. Her name “Peko” is a Western-style twist on “Beko,” a nickname for a calf. She is forever six years old.

Shirotan, on the other hand, is a harp seal born in the ice country. Pure white, fluffy, and easygoing with a slightly mischievous side, Shirotan loves napping and is skilled at transforming into various things. The character was created by Creative Yoko and debuted in 1999.

The pop-up shop will offer a range of exclusive items featuring original newly drawn designs. Among them is the “Shirotan Potepote Mascot Keychain (Shirotan as Peko-chan),” which shows Shirotan wearing overalls and carrying a Peko-chan-patterned pouch. There are also “Peko-chan × Shirotan Acrylic Charms” in two varieties, depicting the duo enjoying sweets together, and a “Round Shirotan Cake” designed to look like a white, round Shirotan.

Other items include magnet-topped Milky cans that reveal illustrations when the magnet is removed (two designs: “Everyone’s Fluffy Sweets Party” and “Peko-chan × Shirotan”), a fluffy “Shirotan Milky Cream Donut (Snow Salt Milky),” and a “Shirotan Milky Baumkuchen (3 pieces)” with a condensed milk flavor.

Milky × Shirotan Limited Goods Pre-Sale

Meanwhile, at the Shirotan Fuwari Store in Tokyo Station’s Ichiban Plaza, a separate lineup of “Milky × Shirotan” collaboration goods will be available for pre-sale from July 24 to August 6. These items use the Milky candy wrapper motif and colorful designs.

The four items are: a “Shirotan Milky Drawstring Pouch,” a “Shirotan Milky Colorful Keychain,” a “Shirotan Milky Big Tote Bag,” and a “Shirotan Milky Embroidered Towel.”

Milky × Shirotan Goods at Fujiya Confectionery Shops

The “Shirotan Milky Colorful Keychain” will also be available at Fujiya confectionery shops nationwide starting September 1. It will be sold at Shirotan shops nationwide from August 7 as a pre-sale. The keychain features Shirotan wrapped in Milky candy wrappers with various expressions, available in three colors.

This summer, fans can enjoy a dose of cuteness and comfort with these Peko-chan and Shirotan collaboration items.
