JINS has unveiled a new eyewear collaboration with the TV anime Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, bringing the series’ cyberpunk aesthetic to real-world accessories. The collection includes three models, among them a limited-edition electronic dimming sunglass produced in a worldwide run of just 1,000 units. All items go on sale July 16, 2026, at select JINS stores and the official online shop.

Since its original manga debut in 1989, Ghost in the Shell has captivated fans worldwide with its near-future cyberpunk world and meticulous sci-fi settings. The franchise continues to influence SF and culture with its forward-thinking themes. This collaboration commemorates the new TV anime series that began airing in July 2026, translating the advanced gadgets worn by characters into real eyewear that balances design inspired by the series with everyday practicality.
Electronic Dimming Sunglasses – Limited to 1,000 Pairs
The standout item is JINS’ first-ever electronic dimming sunglass, limited to just 1,000 pairs worldwide. Using liquid crystal dimming film technology, the lenses automatically adjust their tint according to ambient light intensity.
The design features a near-future silhouette and cyber-inspired look true to the series’ world. Adjustable fitting allows for comfort and immersion, adapting to different face shapes and usage scenarios.
Optical Glasses – Cyberpunk-Inspired Designs
The optical glasses lineup includes two models in four variations, inspired by goggles seen in the anime. Combining aluminum and stainless steel, the frames achieve an inorganic, mechanical texture and sharp presence. Equipped with an omnidirectional movable hinge, they offer flexible movement and a comfortable fit. The included original cleaning cloth features artwork paying homage to the first key visual by original creator Shirow Masamune.
