Who is your favorite “Hot-Blooded” character? Survey closes July 11
Anime! Anime! is holding its annual reader survey titled “Who is your favorite ‘Hot-Blooded’ character?”. Submissions close on July 11.
July 22, 2025, marks Taisho. Taisho is one of the “Twenty-Four Solar Terms” that divide the year into 24 periods, and it is considered the time of year when the heat is particularly severe.
Much like the intense heat of Taisho, the world of anime is brimming with hot-blooded characters whose passion burns just as brightly, if not brighter, than the midsummer sun. They might be characters striving towards a dream or goal, expressing their emotions directly, having exceptionally loud voices, or being unable to ignore a friend in trouble… Their depictions vary greatly depending on the work.
With that, Anime! Anime! is holding its annual reader survey titled “Who is your favorite ‘Hot-Blooded’ character?”. This is an open-response survey, so please tell us the character you think fits the bill and the title of the work they appear in.

- Eligible characters include those from 2D content such as anime (TV broadcasts, movies, streaming series, OVAs, etc.), games, CD series, and manga.
- We kindly ask that each person submits only one response.
- Basic information like gender and age is entirely optional, and you can leave it blank. Feel free to participate without providing it! Everyone is welcome to join in.
The deadline for submissions is July 11. We will publish the results of the survey as soon as we compile them. Please look forward to it!
