Onkyo has announced a new collaboration with the hit anime film Chou Kaguya-hime!, releasing a set of active noise-canceling (ANC) true wireless earphones featuring recorded voice lines from three main characters. The limited-edition models will be available for pre-order starting July 22, 2026 at 15:00 JST.
Three Character-Themed Models
The earphones, model number CP-TWS01E, come in three variants themed after Kaguya (voiced by Natsuyoshi Yuuko), Sakayori Iroha (voiced by Nagase Anna), and Tsukimi Yachiyo (voiced by Hayami Saori). Each unit’s left and right housings and charging case are designed in the character’s image color, with decorative motifs unique to each character. The voice guidance system includes 13 different phrases per model, triggered during power on/off, pairing, and tap operations.
About the Film
Chou Kaguya-hime! is an original feature-length anime film set in the virtual space “Tsukuyomi,” depicting the bonds of girls connected through song. Blending live streaming, music concerts, and social media culture, the film gained massive popularity among younger audiences. After streaming on Netflix from January 2026, it had a theatrical run starting February 20, 2026. Initially planned for only one week, the film sold out immediately and eventually drew over 1.2 million viewers, earning more than 2.5 billion yen at the box office. The run continued until June 18, and revival screenings in special formats are scheduled from September 18.
Pricing and Order Details
Each earphone set is priced at 22,000 yen (tax and shipping included). The order period runs from July 22, 2026 at 15:00 to August 28, 2026 at 15:00. Shipments are expected to begin in early to mid-November 2026. Orders can be placed via the Onkyo Direct online store or at the Onkyo Direct Anime Store (Otoani 1-gouten) in Akihabara, where a display unit will be available from July 22 at 15:00, allowing customers to test the sound quality and voice guidance. A dedicated QR code at the store will also accept orders.
