The beloved world of Moomin is coming to capsule toy machines nationwide with a new assortment of practical accessories. The “Moomin Assort Collection” is set to launch from late July 2026, offering five different items perfect for everyday use.
Created by Finnish author and artist Tove Jansson in 1945, the Moomin series has expanded from novels and comics into anime, character goods, theme parks, and shops. Beloved by fans of all ages in Japan and around the world, the franchise continues to attract adults with its artistic Nordic design and philosophical depth.
This new capsule toy lineup includes a tote bag, an embroidered pouch, two square pouches, and a drawstring bag. The tote bag features an illustration of Moomin and Snufkin fishing together. It measures 280 mm tall, large enough to hold a 500 ml PET bottle, and can be folded into an eco bag.
The embroidered pouch is made of soft boa fabric and accented with Moomin embroidery, offering a pleasant touch.
The square pouch comes in two designs (flower and blue) with different patterns on each side, making it ideal for organizing small items inside a bag.
The drawstring bag features a botanical design with a gathering of Moominvalley friends, adding a cheerful touch to any bag.
The “Moomin Assort Collection” will be available at capsule toy vending machines across Japan from late July 2026.
