A new wave of Evangelion fashion is hitting the streets. Japanese brand HARE has unveiled its second collaboration with the legendary anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, featuring ten all-new apparel and accessory items. Pre-orders begin on July 23, 2026, with a full release following on July 25, 2026.
Background: Evangelion and HARE
First airing in 1995, Neon Genesis Evangelion is a landmark sci-fi mecha series. It follows 14-year-old pilots as they battle mysterious beings called Angels using giant humanoid weapons known as Evangelions. The series is renowned for its deep psychological themes and complex narrative, becoming a global cultural phenomenon. The franchise includes the original TV series, the older theatrical films, and the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy that concluded with Shin Evangelion. In February 2026, a brand-new series was announced during the 30th anniversary event “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION,” with further details eagerly awaited.
HARE is a mode brand known for blending culture and art with sharp, modern aesthetics. The brand has been pursuing collaborations with anime to express its Japanese identity. The first Evangelion x HARE collaboration in August 2025 was well received, merging the world of the series with HARE’s distinctive fashion sense.
The Second Collaboration Lineup
This time, the lineup expands to include ladies’ items and accessories such as shoes, bringing the total to ten distinct types. Each piece incorporates iconic Evangelion elements, from character emotions to A.T. Fields. All apparel items feature a special collaboration name tag inspired by Shinji Ikari’s SDAT player.
