To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Suica IC card in November 2026, a special lineup of limited-edition merchandise featuring newly drawn illustrations of the beloved Suica penguin will go on sale. The items will be available exclusively at the “Suica no Natsu Matsuri” (Suica Summer Festival) event held at JR Tokyo Station from July 24 to 26, 2026.
Illustrator and picture book author Sakazaki Chiharu has created two brand-new designs for the occasion: “Ukiuki” (Cheerful) and “Daisuki! Gyuniku Soseeji” (I Love Fish Sausage!). The “Ukiuki” illustration shows the Suica penguin from behind, happily wiggling its bottom with a big smile. The “Daisuki! Gyuniku Soseeji” design captures the penguin and a baby penguin eagerly munching on their favorite treat. These two artworks are used across 12 of the 15 total items, with the remaining three being summer-themed products.

Priced at 895 yen each, these drawstring pouches feature soft pastel colors and are perfect for organizing small items like lip balm or earphones.
Suica no Penguin Stripe Shopping Tote Bag – Ukiuki Blue / Ukiuki Brown
These A4-size tote bags (2,310 yen each) can be folded compactly using a gold snap button, making them convenient for shopping or carrying documents.
Suica no Penguin Stripe Mini Tote Charm – Ukiuki Blue / Ukiuki Brown
A mini tote-shaped charm (2,200 yen each) that can also be used as a small accessory pouch.
Other items include a die-cut cooling pack (530 yen each) useful for bento boxes or heatstroke prevention, a jacquard name towel (880 yen each) with a large illustration and name patch accent, and a canvas magnet (890 yen each) that highlights the texture of canvas material.
The new Suica penguin goods will be sold only at the “Suica no Natsu Matsuri” event held at the Dōrin no Hiroba venue in JR Tokyo Station from July 24 to 26, 2026. The event also includes a pop-up store, a lottery, and a photo session with the Suica penguin.
