Get hyped! From the upcoming Summer 2025 anime season, the first episode of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 4, titled “Shiltvelt”, is set to air starting July 9th (Wednesday). Ahead of the broadcast, the synopsis and preview screenshots for the episode have been released. Additionally, a special web preview narrated by Fohl (CV. Amazaki Kouhei) and Atla (CV. About Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari

Based on the popular light novel series by Aneko Yusagi, originally serialized on the novel submission site “Shousetsuka ni Narou” and published by MF Books, Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari is an exciting isekai fantasy adventure. The story follows Iwatani Naofumi, a college student summoned to a parallel world as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes – specifically, the Shield Hero. Stripped of everything in his new world, the series chronicles his journey as he rises from nothing and becomes a powerful figure. The TV anime first aired Season 1 from January to June 2019, followed by Season 2 from April to June 2022, and Season 3 from October to December 2023.

In preparation for the impending battle against the Spirit Tortoise, which was close to revival, the Shield Hero Iwatani Naofumi confronted the other three Cardinal Heroes, who were at odds with each other, and ultimately managed to reconcile with them, uniting their powers. However, due to a misunderstanding, Raphtalia was perceived as intending to inherit the throne of Kutenrou, leading assassins from that country to target her life. To negotiate with Kutenrou, Naofumi decides to visit Shiltvelt, a demi-human country that is the only place with connecting ships. He is welcomed with fervent enthusiasm by the demi-humans who worship the Shield Hero, but Shiltvelt itself is not unified, and some individuals do not welcome Naofumi and his party. Furthermore, Kutenrou is also facing political instability, and Raphtalia is being raised as a banner of revolution. Amidst this turbulent situation, can Naofumi become the light that guides his companions?

To negotiate with Kutenrou, who are targeting Raphtalia’s life, Naofumi and his companions travel to Shiltvelt, the demi-human country from which the only ship to Kutenrou departs.
