About Sword Art Online
The Sword Art Online series, written by Kawara Reki, won the 15th Dengeki Novel Prize and has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The story follows protagonist Kirito in the next-generation VRMMORPG. The TV anime has aired four series (97 episodes total), culminating in the epic Alicization arc. The franchise also includes the 2017 film Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale and the Progressive series (Aria of a Starless Night and Scherzo of Deep Night), which together earned over 5 billion yen at the Japanese box office.
