The key visual for the large-scale exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular manga series Hetalia has finally been unveiled, featuring all the beloved characters together in a brand-new illustration by creator Hidekazu Himaruya.
About Hetalia
Hidekazu Himaruya’s Hetalia series is a comedy that personifies real-world countries such as Italy, Germany, and Japan, weaving historical and current events into its stories. The anime began in 2008 with Hetalia: Axis Powers as a short-form series with episodes around four minutes long, followed by Hetalia: World Series, Hetalia: The Beautiful World, Hetalia: The World Twinkle, and Hetalia: World★Stars. The cast includes Daisuke Namikawa as Italy, Hiroki Yasumoto as Germany, and Hiroki Takahashi as Japan. Animation production is handled by Studio Deen.
Exhibition Details
The exhibition, titled “Hetalia 20th Anniversary Original Art Exhibition WorldFesta,” is a major event celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary. Visitors will be able to experience the world of Himaruya’s artwork up close. The newly released key visual brings together the familiar cast of characters to brighten the anniversary year.
On display will be rare original pencil drawings, color illustrations, and a life-sized standing figure of Italy. The venue will also feature exclusive photo spots and a special atmosphere designed to let fans immerse themselves in the charm of the series.
Ticket Information
Tickets are timed-entry for all dates. Advance tickets are priced at 2,300 yen (tax included), and same-day tickets are 2,500 yen (tax included). A special ticket with a bonus passport case is available for 2,000 yen (tax included). The design of the passport case has also been revealed.
Additionally, the flight ticket-style clear cards (13 types in total) that come as a bonus with the passport case have been shown.
All visitors will receive a random mini shikishi (colored paper board, 13 types in total).
The advance lottery for the Tokyo venue begins on August 2 (Sunday), and for the Osaka venue on September 5 (Saturday).
The Tokyo venue will be held at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro from October 17 (Saturday) to October 28 (Wednesday), 2026. The Osaka venue will be at Namba Parks Museum from November 7 (Saturday) to November 23 (Monday, holiday), 2026.
