Voice actress Ogura Yui, known for roles such as Manhattan Cafe in Uma Musume Pretty Derby and Minori Hanasato in Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, has announced the title of her latest photobook: Yui Maru (ゆいま～る). The book is set to hit shelves on September 18, 2026, and four different cover designs have been unveiled, along with a comment from Ogura herself.
The photobook was shot in Okinawa, a location that holds special memories for Ogura, as she previously visited the island for her 20-year-old photobook Yui Hachi. The title Yui Maru comes from the Okinawan word meaning “mutual help” or “connection,” and the “maru” (circle) also represents the “0” of a new decade as she enters her 30s.
The Yui’s＊company. version cover captures the growth she has experienced since turning 20, while the Infosquare version focuses on the cuteness that Ogura continues to pursue. The digital version features a cool expression that only a 30-something can pull off, and the regular edition showcases a scene from the southern sea.
Each cover offers a distinct visual, giving fans plenty to look forward to. The photobook is edited by Seiyuu Grand Prix, a publication that has covered Ogura since her debut, and is being produced by Imagica Infos, with distribution by Shufunotomo.
Reservations are currently open at various retailers, with early bird bonuses available at Infosquare, Animate, and Gamers. A release commemorative event is scheduled for October 12, 2026, at a location in Tokyo, featuring a signed bromide autograph session (selected by lottery). Additionally, a panel display will be held at AKIHABARA Gamers main store from September 16 for about two weeks, with a signed panel giveaway for customers who reserve or purchase the photobook during the campaign period.
Ogura Yui’s Comment
Alongside the title announcement, Ogura shared her thoughts on the photobook:
“The title of this photobook is Yui Maru, an Okinawan word meaning ‘mutual help’ or ‘connection.’ The ‘maru’ (circle) also carries the meaning of ‘0’ as I enter a new milestone in my 30s. I hope you can enjoy the scenery and atmosphere unique to Okinawa, as well as the grown-up version of myself after 10 years. Please look forward to the release!”
