New merchandise from the TV anime Blue Lock is on the way, featuring the series’ most egotistical players reimagined as the irresistibly cute “Petit Bear” mascot characters. The lineup includes plush pouches, card cases, acrylic stands, and more—all using freshly drawn illustrations.
Based on the manga written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yusuke, serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, Blue Lock has surpassed 60 million copies in cumulative circulation. The story centers on the Blue Lock project, a high-stakes training program designed to create the striker who will lead Japan to a FIFA World Cup title. Three hundred high school forwards are confined and forced into a brutal survival competition where only the most self-centered and ego-driven players can prevail.
Since its TV anime debut in 2022, the franchise has expanded into smartphone games, stage plays, and other media. The third anime season, Blue Lock: Neo Egoist League, is currently in production, and a live-action film directed by Takui Yusuke and starring Takahashi Fumiya opened on August 7.
This latest merchandise wave comes from the “Petit Bear” series, a line of tiny teddy bear mascots with an original design. The products feature the beloved characters in their signature outfits, but with a soft, huggable twist.
