The AV-98Plus Ingram Unit 2 from Mobile Police Patlabor EZY is getting a new figure under the high-end robot figure brand ROBOT魂. Pre-orders are now open at various retailers, with a release scheduled for January 2027.
Patlabor EZY is a completely new anime in the Patlabor series, planned for theatrical release in a total of 8 episodes across 3 chapters. Episodes 1 through 6 are self-contained stories, while episodes 7 and 8 form a continuous narrative that brings the greatest crisis yet to the new Second Squad.
The series is directed by Izubuchi Yutaka, with script and series composition by Ito Kazunori, and original character designs by Yuki Masami. Takada Akemi is credited for costume design cooperation. The cast includes Uesaka Sumire, Toya Kikunosuke, Koshimizu Ami, Kobayashi Chikahiro, Sato Setsuji, Matsumura Yume, and Hayashibara Megumi.
Set in 2030s Japan, where a declining labor force drives automation through AI, the once cutting-edge Labor mecha have become part of social infrastructure. With autonomous robots replacing piloted models, the stand-alone Labor is increasingly seen as outdated. Yet the Second Squad’s mission to protect people and the city remains unchanged. They pilot the tuned-up AV-98Plus Ingram, facing new technology-based crimes with wit and courage. File 1, covering episodes 1–3, hit theaters on May 15, while File 2, episodes 4–6, opened on August 14.
The new ROBOT魂
Unlike Unit 1, this figure features a unique head design for Unit 2, with an interchangeable part to display the sensor cover open.
Alongside equipment like the revolver cannon and stun stick, the set includes a first-ever figure of the Type 17 command vehicle.
Displaying it alongside Unit 1 allows fans to recreate the deployment scenes from the series.
