The TV anime Blue Lock is teaming up with the smartphone hunting RPG Monster Strike for the first time. The collaboration event kicks off on August 16, 2026 at 12:00 JST.
TV Anime Blue Lock x Monster Strike
Blue Lock is based on the soccer manga written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yusuke, serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story is set in the “Blue Lock” project, an initiative by the Japan Football Union to develop a striker who can lead Japan to a World Cup victory. Three hundred high school forwards from across the country are gathered to compete in a brutal survival battle for the right to become the ultimate striker.
The series has captivated readers both in Japan and abroad with its groundbreaking premise, egoistic characters who explode with individuality, and unpredictable story developments. It has become a new milestone in soccer manga. The TV anime began in 2022, followed by an animated film in 2024, and the franchise has expanded into smartphone games, stage plays, and more. A live-action film was released on August 7, 2026, and a new anime series has been announced.
In this first collaboration with Monster Strike, the limited-time gacha will feature Isagi Yoichi, Itoshi Rin, Nagi Seishiro, Bachira Meguru, and Chigiri Hyoma. The collaboration quest will include Barou Shoei, Karasu Tabito, Aoshi Jubee, Kenkyuu Zantetsu, Niko Kazuki, and Shidou Ryusei.
Additionally, purchasing the “Collaboration Starter Pack” will grant players Mikage Reo, while Kunigami Rensuke can be obtained through login bonuses and mission clear rewards.
