The Bluey Movie (original title: The Bluey Movie) has been confirmed for a summer 2027 theatrical release in Japan. The announcement came with a brand-new poster visual and a teaser trailer.

The animated series Bluey, which follows the adventures of a cheerful Australian Cattle Dog family, has taken the world by storm. In the United States, it has ranked No. 1 in annual streaming viewership for two consecutive years, according to Nielsen’s ARTEY Awards. Streamed in more than 180 countries and regions, the series has also won prestigious awards such as the International Emmy and the BAFTA. Now, Bluey is making her feature-length debut as a fully 3D-animated film.
The story centers on Bluey, an energetic and imaginative Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) girl. Along with her younger sister Bingo and their parents, Bluey transforms ordinary daily moments into hilarious adventures through her boundless creativity. The series has been praised for blending humor with heartfelt moments, exploring family bonds and kindness. In 2025, it amassed approximately 45 billion minutes of viewing time in the U.S. alone, securing its spot as the most-streamed program—including adult-oriented content—for the second year in a row.
